Priest River's Senior Center may be one of the most "Hoppin'" places in town. As home to the Monday Soup Kitchen and the West Bonner Food Bank, the parking lot is full every Monday and Thursday. But the activity doesn't stop there.
Every Wednesday and Saturday the card players gather for pinochle, conversation, and goodies. On Thursday mornings, the quilters gather to visit and construct works of textile art. On the 2nd and 4th Friday, the Happy Agers meet for potluck.
During the 4-H season, the leather crafters meet here on Thursday nights. Prior to hunting season, the Senior Center is host to Hunter Safety classes. And several times each year, the Senior Driving Classes are held here.
On top of that, many citizens rent the hall for receptions and club meetings.
All in all, there are few days when the Priest River Senior Center - and more activities are already in the planning stages.
Changing of the Guard
Just as our nation held elections in November, so did the Senior Center.

Around the Senior Center
A quick stroll around the Senior Center shows plenty more opportunities for activity. First you'll see the 4-H park, where benches and tables afford a view overlooking downtown Priest River and the river beyond. Next is the skateboard park - a busy place during friendly weather. And next to the Senior Center on Jackson Street, you'll find the basketball court and tennis courts.
